After the meeting of the heads of football federations in Paris, where the location and time of the future 2008 European Championship qualifying tournament Group B matches were discussed, the schedule of the latest Lithuanian national team selection cycle matches was revealed.

The Lithuanian national team will start the qualifying tournament on August 16 this year with a match against the Faroe Islands, in September they will meet Ukraine and travel to Italy, and in October they will go to France and finish the year with a match at home against Scotland.

After the New Year, at the end of March, the Lithuanians will face a tough trip to Georgia and a home match against the 2000 European champion, France. As the summer of 2007 comes to an end, the Lithuanian national team will play in the Faroe Islands in August, and in September they will have the opportunity to compete against another European football giant, the Italian team.

At the end of the qualifying cycle in October, they will have to play against Georgia at home and Ukraine away, and finally the group matches, like in the 2004 European Championship qualifying tournament, will end with the representation of our country's team traveling to Scotland.

According to the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF), the schedule may still change slightly as it has not yet been officially confirmed by Ukrainian representatives. So, if necessary, there may be minor changes in the schedule related to the Ukrainian matches.
