And the German national football championship continues. On Sunday, two remaining matches of the 21st round were played. On the path towards another champions' title, Bayern players successfully continued their journey, winning their seventeenth victory this season on Sunday and increasing their lead against main competitors Hamburger to ten points.

Playing at home, the Munich club managed to defeat Nurnberg team after a tough battle with a score of 2-1. The hosts took the lead first, after a goal by R. Makaay in the 27th minute, but the visitors from Nurnberg did not falter and less than ten minutes later, R. Vittek sent the ball over the upper corner of the opponents' goal with a great shot, equalizing the score.

The Bavarians regained the lead shortly after the break, thanks to a goal by the team's leader M. Ballack. Towards the end of the match, the visitors could have at least snatched a point, but Bayern goalkeeper O. Kahn demonstrated his mastery and helped the Bayern team secure a victory in the Bavarian derby.

Meanwhile, the other evening match between the clubs Koln and Borussia ended in a goalless draw. Both teams shared a point and dropped down one position in the standings.
