Vitorijos president and main shareholder entrepreneur from Ukraine, Dmitry Piterman, dismissed Juan Carlos Oliva from his position as head coach just a month after not following instructions regarding the team's lineup.

Argentinian Mario Luna was appointed as the new - fourth - coach on Friday.

"He did not feel subordination," D. Piterman said at a press conference. "People here are not independent, the coach does not have complete freedom to say and do whatever he wants. The story is over. He has been dismissed, and I do not know his future plans."

J.C. Oliva took over the reins of "Alaves" on January 9 and became the third Vitoria club coach this season.

The coach made his debut at "Alaves" with an impressive 2-0 victory in La Coruna against the much stronger "Deportivo". Although they lost 2-0 to the league leaders "Barcelona", they did not lose any more matches and climbed from the bottom of the league table.

J.C. Oliva held a press conference where he stated that he could not reconcile with the president's instructions.

At the end of the press conference, the coach added that he was grateful to D. Piterman for the opportunity to test himself in the Spanish championship and said he would be very happy if "Alaves" remains in the top league this year.
