This season, "Monaco", unable to find their game, unexpectedly lost 2-0 to the local club "Nice" in Corsica. The latter club defeated the "Ajaccio" team 2-0 on the road on Saturday. The goals for the winners were scored by Marouane Chamakh and Denilson. After this victory, "Bordeaux" reduced the gap from the first-placed "Lyon" club to 7 points, but the latter still has a postponed match against "Monaco" in reserve.
The "Lille" team rose to the third place in the tournament table after this round. The Lily footballers defeated the struggling "Saint-Etienne" team 2-0 on the road on Saturday and surpassed the "Auxerre" club, which unexpectedly lost to "Sochaux" team after Moumouni Dagano's goal in the first minute of the match.
After several consecutive failures, the "Rennes" club won a crushing victory, beating the "Lens" club striving for a place in European tournaments 4-1 at home. The winners were led by three goals from John Utaka, with Olivier Monterrubio adding another one. In the ranks of "Lens", the consolation goal was scored by Daniel Cousin in the last minute of the match.
