On Sunday, three more matches of the 27th round were played in the English Premier League. After them, the situation in the tournament table changed slightly - "Liverpool" overtook "Man Utd" in second place, who played one match less and won. Also, "Bolton" achieved a victory and moved up to the sixth place, playing two matches less than their closest rivals and putting London's "Arsenal" in a difficult position.

Liverpool's victory on Sunday was not much different from many previous ones - for the seventh time this season, the winners of the UEFA Champions League celebrated a victory with a minimal score of 1-0 in the national championship. The only goal of the match, after a great pass from Steven Gerrard, was scored by Australian goalkeeper Harry Kewell.

A significant victory was also achieved by "Bolton". Despite conceding the first goal, the team that has been performing well this season managed to come back and defeat the 14th placed "Fulham" 2-1. Pressuring the opponents for a long time, "Bolton" scored the winning goal in the 68th minute, when Kevin Nolan fooled several defenders and calmly sent the ball into the net. This was already the tenth goal of the season for the striker.

In the last match of the evening, the team of "Middlesbrough", which has been showing good form recently, defeated "West Bromwich Albion" 2-0 away. The victory for the team that secured a place among the top 16 UEFA Cup teams last week was guaranteed by former "Chelsea" striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's goals in the first half. However, from the 54th minute, "W.B.A." played with ten men - Nigel Quashie was sent off.
