"Real Madrid" and the Brazilian national team striker Ronaldo caught the interest of "Newcastle."
The "Sharks" are looking for a famous player to replace the longtime team leader Alan Shearer, who is retiring this summer, and became interested in Ronaldo after the latter mentioned that he would like to play in the Premier League.
The Brazilian superstar hinted about his dissatisfaction representing the Spanish capital team and expressed a desire to quickly move to another club.
Milan's "Inter" would like to bring him back to the "San Siro" stadium, while Turin's "Juventus" also expressed interest. However, the player himself would prefer to go to the Premier League, and clubs like London giants "Chelsea" and "Arsenal" would definitely want to acquire Ronaldo.
"Newcastle" could also be included in this list after club manager Freddy Shepherd stated that he would do everything possible for Ronaldo to play again with his former teammate in Madrid, Michael Owen.
"If Ronaldo is for sale and wants to come to England, we will definitely try to buy him," said Freddy Shepherd.
"We all laughed when we tried to buy Michael Owen and said it would never happen. However, club manager Freddy Shephard proved them all wrong and now the same thing could happen if Ronaldo is sold. He would be affordable, as he will be turning 30 this year, and with Alan Shearer retiring in the summer, there will surely be no problems regarding Ronaldo's wages," said a close source to the club.
