Unsuccessfully competing this season and occupying the 12th place in the French "Ligue 1" championship, the club announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with a Moscow club.
As reported, the French team has signed a two-year cooperation agreement with the Russian club, represented by Lithuania's national team goalkeeper Žydrūnas Karčemarskas, which includes mutual club cooperation, player exchanges, joint training camps, and friendly matches.
The financial details of this agreement have not been disclosed, but the leaders of both clubs claim to be very satisfied with this agreement. Representatives of Monaco even hinted that they have long been considering the possibility of entering into a cooperation agreement with a club from Eastern Europe.
Such agreements have become popular among many European clubs in recent years. It is worth mentioning that this winter, another Lithuanian club also signed a similar agreement with a Russian team from Moscow.
