After the sensational end of the "Ligue 1" championship match between and clubs on Sunday, in which the Paris team failed to defeat the Marseille club's youth team sent to play due to safety concerns, "P.S.G" president Pierre Blayau publicly apologized to the team's fans.

"On behalf of the entire club, I want to apologize to the team's fans for such a result," Blayau said. "I am ashamed of the team's performance and I think everyone should feel ashamed."

"In my opinion, this is a very painful result for the whole team both psychologically and spiritually. We simply couldn't live up to the expectations of our fans."

Marseille's coach Albert Emon was in a completely different mood after the match.

"I am proud of my team," he said. "The guys fought like tigers on the field and deserved such a result."

"For the club, this is like a victory that the team wants to dedicate to all its fans who unfortunately had to miss this match."
