Vilnius remains the most active Lithuanian team in the player market. On Thursday, the capital club announced that they have signed a three-year contract with Ukrainian Sergiy Kuznetsov.

The 23-year-old, 190 cm tall forward played last season for Mariupol's "Illichivets", finishing third in the Ukrainian Championship. Before that, S. Kuznetsov spent almost his entire career abroad, playing for clubs such as Helsinki's "Jokerit" (Finland), Budapest's "Ferencvaros" (Hungary), Gomel's FC "Gomel" (Belarus), and Tiraspol's "Sheriff" (Moldova).

The Ukrainian has twice won the Moldovan Championship and once became the champion of Belarus. While playing for Finnish and Hungarian clubs, S. Kuznetsov also won the title of vice-champion in these countries. The new "Vėtra" legionnaire has also represented the Ukrainian youth national team.

Just yesterday, the ambitious capital club shook hands with two Lithuanians who have tasted the bread of a foreign legionnaire - 32-year-old defender Vidu Dančenko and 25-year-old forward Rolandas Karčemarskas.
