Vilnius continues to work and this time announced its stadium modernization plans - a modern scoreboard will be installed at the stadium, lighting will be improved, a new VIP lodge will be built, and workspaces for journalists will be set up. All modernization work is planned to be completed by the start of the UEFA Intertoto Cup tournament this summer.

One of the best and newest football stadiums in the country, where the Lithuanian national team played their last three official matches, will have a modern scoreboard measuring 4 meters wide and 3 meters high. In it, spectators will be able to see not only match statistics but also the most interesting moments of the game.

The lighting at the stadium will be improved to meet all the UEFA requirements for the most prestigious competitions. The "Vėtra" football players plan to play many home matches under artificial lighting at a comfortable time for the spectators.

In addition, a new VIP lodge with a roof will be built, accommodating 200 spectators. For their convenience, a 200 square meter lounge will be set up. There will be workspaces for journalists with internet connection in the lodge.

It is also reported that this Sunday, March 12th at 15:00, Vilnius "Vėtra" team will meet with the Rezekne "Dižvanagi" club. The friendly match with the Latvians will take place in Vilnius, at the "Sportima" arena. This will be the capital team's final rehearsal before the LFF Cup tournament.
