On Saturday, in the penultimate round of the 29th round of the Scottish "Premier" League, Glasgow "Rangers", defending champions, managed to come closer to the second-placed "Hearts" footballers, who were unable to defeat "Inverness CT" with a score of 1-1 away.
Playing without their injured attacking leaders Rudi Skacel, Lithuanian Edgaras Jankauskas, and captain Steven Pressley, "Hearts" posed little threat to the opponents' goal, while the Scottish national team goalkeeper Craig Gordon played excellently to protect the visitors' goal from goals.
In the "Hearts" lineup, the Lithuanian Deividas Cesnauskis played the entire match, showcasing very good form lately, while the other Lithuanian Saulius Mikoliunas did not leave the bench.
Taking advantage of this stumble by "Hearts", Glasgow "Rangers", who are in third place, crushed the "Kilmarnock" team 4-0 at home, reducing the gap with the Edinburgh team to six points.
Victories on Saturday were also achieved by "Dundee Utd", "Dunfermline", and "Motherwell", who respectively beat the "Livingston", "Aberdeen", and "Falkirk" teams at home.
The last round of the 29th round will be played on Sunday between Edinburgh "Hibernian" and league leaders Glasgow "Celtic".
