In the away match against "Rimini," the hosts were the first to break ahead when in the 8th minute Adrian Ricchiuti managed to send the ball into the net from a sharp angle, but before the halftime everything turned upside down - in the 35th minute T. Danilevicius equalized with a precise shot, and in the 42nd minute Francesco Millesi took advantage of a defenders' mistake to put "Avellino" ahead.
At the start of the second half, T. Danilevicius was substituted, and soon "Rimini" equalized the score with a penalty kick from the 11-meter mark. In the 69th minute, the guests regained the lead with a beautiful shot from striker Raffaele Biancolino, but with six minutes left in the match Gianluca Di Giulio responded with an even more beautiful shot, keeping the match tied at 3-3, so "Avellino" maintained its 18th position in the standings.
The opportunity to close in on the leaders was missed by the "Brescia" team, whose new head coach became famous for his attacking football, Zdenek Zeman.
