On this Friday, March 17th, three LFF Cup eighth-final matches will be played at the Vilnius "Sportima" arena.
In the off-season, the very active Vilnius "Vėtra" will play against Jonavos "Lietava," who finished in ninth place in the LFF I League last season.
After these matches, the winners will compete for the title against the FBK "Kaunas" players and the "Šiauliai" team. In the previous season, the Šiauliai team sensationally did not eliminate the later champions from further competition, the Kaunas team, during the extended time period. The first match in Kaunas ended in a 1-1 draw, and in Šiauliai, the hosts resisted until the 92nd minute, but then, after a substitution, Ričardas Beniušis scored the winning goal.
In the third match on Friday, there will be a clash between "Šilutė" and Kėdainiai "Nevėžis."
