V.del Bosque did not dismiss the possibility of returning to "Real" © EuroFootball.com

Former Real Madrid head coach Vicente del Bosque, speaking to journalists, did not rule out the possibility of returning to the Royal club, although he had previously categorically denied such a possibility.

"Why would I never return," rhetorically asked V.del Bosque, speaking on a radio show on "Onda Cero." "My results with the club are among the best when compared to other coaches who have led Real. I have never harmed the club."

Former Real president Florentino Perez fired V.del Bosque from the head coach position in June 2003, just one day after he had won the 29th Spanish championship title in the club's history.

A former club defender, later turned into Real coach, led the team to win two European trophies and two Spanish championship titles in three and a half years.

In June 2004, the Spaniard rejected an offer to return to Real as an assistant coach, justifying his decision by saying he had been "very rudely dismissed."

Later, he became the head coach of Istanbul's Besiktas, but things did not go well for him in Turkey, and he was dismissed in January 2005.

The Spanish media has been writing a lot lately about potential Real coaches, and the new president of the Royal club, Fernando Martinas, has hinted that he is almost decided on a new coaching candidacy.

The team that currently holds second place in the Spanish championship is now coached by Juan Ramon Lopez Caro.
