In the central matches of the round, after eight winless matches, the Parisian "P.S.G" team finally stood up, impressively defeating "Auxerre" 4-1 at home and returning to the fight for places in European tournaments. Bonaventure Kalou scored twice for the Paris team, Rene Bolf scored an own goal, Pedro Pauleta added another, and Lionel Mathis scored a consolation goal for the away team.
Showing excellent form, "Lyon" met with "Sochaux" away and crushed their opponents with a score of 4-0. Sylvaine Wiltord scored two goals for the multiple country champions, with Benoit Pedretti and Florent Malouda adding one each.

The 9th place was taken by "Le Mans", who finished their match against "Nantes" goalless, and the 10th place was secured by "Nice" after defeating their neighbor in the standings, "Nancy".
