Today, a meeting of the Appeals Licensing Committee of the Lithuanian Football Federation took place, during which appeals of football clubs that participated in the licensing procedures and did not receive licenses in the first decision-making stage were considered.
The Appeals Licensing Committee of the LFF, after reviewing additional or adjusted documentation of football clubs, decided to grant licenses to all six "A Lyga" clubs that had not yet received them.
Licenses were given to Klaipėda's "Atlantas", Vilnius' "Žalgiris", "Šilutė", "Šiauliai", "Vilnius", and Kėdainiai's "Nevėžis". Two weeks ago, licenses had already been issued to last season's Lithuanian championship leaders - Panevėžys' "Ekranas", "Kaunas", Marijampolė's "Sūduva", and Vilnius' "Vėtra".
The licenses issued by the LFF give clubs the right to participate in the 2006 "A Lyga" and the 2006/2007 season UEFA competitions.
