Marijampolė continues to strengthen for the new "A Lyga" season - the club, which finished in third place last season, signed a contract with 27-year-old defender Mantas Samusiovas, who played for the Moscow club in Russia for the last three seasons.
Before moving to Russia, the defender played three seasons in Latvia, for the Riga club. At the beginning of his career, he played for the "Kaunas" team in 1997-99 and was called up to the Lithuanian national team, where he played five games, but in recent years he usually refused to join the national team.
However, last season M. Samusiovas lost his place in the main lineup of the "Torpedo" team and this year decided to return to Lithuania. He is already the fifth new player for "Sūduva" this season. Previously, the team was already supplemented by X, Y, and Z.
