At the moment, the goalkeeper of the French club Mickael Landreau, who currently holds the 14th place in the "Ligue 1" championship, announced that he will leave his long-time team at the end of this season and look for a new club.
The 26-year-old Landreau arrived at "Nantes" 13 years ago, when he was only 13 years old, and made his debut in the first team after three years, where he was the main goalkeeper for almost a decade.
However, now the player seems determined to change his surroundings, although he admitted that leaving the team where he played for more than 10 years is extremely difficult.
"I knew that one day I would have to leave the team and that it would be very difficult," Landreau said. "That moment has finally come and it hurts so much to leave, but I have to do it."
"Those ten years spent at the club were just fantastic. I want to thank all the fans of the team who have been incredible all those years."
For some time now, promising goalkeeper has been considering clubs in London, Milan, and other places, but he himself is not rushing to plan where he will play next season and does not rule out the possibility of staying in France.
"I have always dreamed of taking a step forward in my career and now I believe I can do it, but for now I do not want to talk about my future and name specific clubs," Landreau continued.
"The leaders of the club where I will play will announce it officially when the time is right. Until then, I will give myself entirely to the 'Nantes' club until the end of the season, without thinking about the future."
