Today two LFF Cup quarter-final matches have already been played. A very unexpected result was recorded in Klaipėda, where "Atlantas" defeated the defending champions FBK "Kaunas" 2-0 on the field of "Žvyris". The Vilnius derby between "Žalgiris" and "Vilnius" ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the match held in Klaipėda, "Atlantas" took the lead in the 35th minute when Rimantas Žvingilas scored. At the end of the first half, the people of Klaipėda could have doubled the result, but Dainius Žernys missed an 11-meter penalty - his attempt was saved by the "Kaunas" goalkeeper Eduardas Kurskis. Nevertheless, "Atlantas" managed to increase the lead before the return match - in the 90th minute, the striker Valdas Trakys, who was loaned from "Kaunas", scored.

In the match held at "Sportima" in Vilnius, "Vilnius" took the lead in the third minute after a precise header by Mindaugas Panka, receiving a great pass from the left during a counterattack. After this goal, "Vilnius" mostly defended against more dangerous attacks from "Žalgiris", with reliable defender Darius Artiomovas and goalkeeper Maciej Kijewski. They performed well until the middle of the second half, but then "Žalgiris" veteran Igoris Morinas scored during a counterattack.

Today there will be a match between Panevėžys "Ekrantas" and Vilnius "Vėtra". You can watch it live on BTV starting from 6 pm.
