The Bordeaux footballers, the only ones who could still take the champions title from "Lyon", lost away to the hosts "P.S.G" with three goals from Pedro Pauleta, conceding a 3-1 defeat. After this loss, with only five rounds left until the end of the championship, "Bordeaux" lags behind "Lyon" by 12 points. Meanwhile, "P.S.G" rose to the 7th position after this victory and joined the battle for places in the next season's UEFA tournaments.

The "Rennes" club, which continues to demonstrate excellent form, also climbed to the fourth place in the league table after Sunday's matches. The Reno footballers defeated the "Toulouse" team away with a minimal result. The only goal of the match was scored by Lucien Aubey in the 73rd minute, sending the ball into his own net. Meanwhile, the match between "Le Mans" and "Nancy" ended in a draw on Sunday.
