Edu finally debuted in the lineup of "Valencia" © EuroFootball.com

After recovering from a serious knee injury seven months ago, Brazilian Edu finally made his debut in Valencia's lineup on Sunday in a match against "Cadiz".

The 27-year-old Brazil national team member appeared on the field for 65 minutes and replaced one of the team leaders, Ruben Baraja.

Playing as a defensive midfielder, Edu arrived at "Valencia" last May as a free agent after his contract with London's "Arsenal" expired. However, the Brazilian suffered a serious knee injury just a week before the start of the season during training, which he has been recovering from until now.

Edu moved to London in January 2001 for six million pounds from the "Corinthians" club.

In 2004, he was part of the team that became the English champions undefeated, but in the following season he played little due to injuries.
