With twelve days left until the start of the Lithuanian championship in Klaipėda, the team is strengthening with new players - the port city club has signed a contract with 28-year-old defender from Slovakia, Almir Suleimanovič. In addition, the team may be supplemented by two well-known Lithuanian footballers - a 27-year-old midfielder and his fellow defender.

The club president Vacys Lekevičius officially told the "A lyga" website that the 28-year-old "Atlantas" legionnaire plays in the position of a defender, while agreements have not yet been reached with the two Lithuanian national team players and contracts have not been signed.

Last season, A.Gedgaudas started in the Kaunas FBK "Kaunas" team and represented them until July 1. Later, the footballer signed a contract with the Tomsk "Tom" club, but he did not establish himself there. In winter, A.Gedgaudas was interested in Vilnius "Vėtra". Negotiations were held between the player and the club, but no contract was signed.

D.Žutautas spent the 2005 season in the Russian "Premier" league playing for the Vladikavkaz "Alania" club, and after it dropped to a lower league and ultimately went bankrupt, he went for a trial at Grozny "Terek" this year, but the latter team did not suit him.
