One of the most famous clubs in France, Paris Saint-Germain, may soon be sold. As reported by the French newspaper "Le Parisien" on Tuesday, and later confirmed by the news agency "Reuters", the owner of the Paris club, the cable television company "Canal Plus", is finalizing the details of the sale of "PSG".
“The two negotiating parties have been working hard over the past two days. I don't think that anything will be officially announced today (Tuesday), but it should happen within the next 48 hours,” a close source to the club told the news agency "Reuters".
If an agreement is reached, "Canal Plus", a paid television channel owned by the French media giant "Vivendi", will transfer the club's shares to the French businessman and former president of "Lille" Luc Dayan, as well as another related company.
Neither "Canal Plus", nor L. Dayan, nor "Paris Saint-Germain" have commented on these rumors.
Currently, "PSG" is in eighth place in the French championship and is 22 points behind the leaders "Lyon".
