In the final of the Italian Cup for the second consecutive year, Milan's "Inter" and "Roma" clubs will meet - on Wednesday, the local "Roma" team celebrated a victory over "Palermo" with a minimal score of 1-0 in the second leg of the semi-finals at Rome's Olympic Stadium, securing their place in the final thanks to an away goal.

After 19 minutes, the visitors had a chance to take the lead. "Roma" defender Samuel Kuffour's pass was intercepted by "Palermo" forward Andrea Caracciolo, who cleverly outwitted the goalkeeper and shot towards the goal, but the ball was cleared off the goal line by the home team's defender Christian Panucci.
However, after half an hour from the start of the match, the hosts took the lead - Cesare Bovo sent a cross into the goal with his head and the ball was sent into the goal by the veteran of the "Roma" club, Damiano Tommasi, giving the capital club a valuable lead.
The second half started with another threat to the goal from Damiano Tommasi, but the "Palermo" defender Andrea Barzagli saved his team.
On the other end of the pitch, a strong shot by Fabio Grosso was saved by the "Roma" goalkeeper, and David Di Michele shot over the goal.
Simone Perrotta and Amantino Mancini missed good opportunities to secure the victory for the home team. Their shots flew wide of the goal.
"Palermo" had their best chance to equalize the score in extra time, when "Roma" goalkeeper Alexander Doni blocked a shot by Cristiano Terlizzi.
So the capital team held on and made it to the final, where the same clubs will compete for the second consecutive year - "Roma" and "Inter". The latter reached the final on Tuesday by defeating the "Udinese" team in the other semi-final of this cup.
