30th round: Productive day in the Bundesliga © EuroFootball.com

On Sunday, two matches were played in the German football championship, which concluded the battles of the 30th round. The Sunday matches, unlike the Saturday ones, were characterized by high scoring - a total of eleven goals were scored in the two games.

A six-goal thriller took place in Hannover, where two evenly matched teams, Hannover and Stuttgart, clashed. This match was no exception and ended in a 3-3 draw. The home team had a better start to the match and after playing just over half an hour, Hannover already had a two-goal advantage - H.Balitsch took advantage of the opponent's mistake in the second minute, and J.Stajner doubled the lead with a header in the 33rd minute.

Hannover's situation worsened in the 38th minute, when their Albanian defender A.Lala received a second yellow card for a rough tackle and was sent off the field. However, this did not wake up the Stuttgart team, and the result almost became crushing when the Stuttgart keeper T.Hildebrand managed to save a shot from H.Balitsch.

Stuttgart started the second half more actively, and seven minutes into it they managed to soften the score, with D.Ljuboja scoring from 23 meters. Hannover managed to recover from the missed goal and until the end of the match, with just over twenty minutes left, the score was 3-1 in favor of the home team. However, the spirited Stuttgart team, who had a numeric advantage, did not give up and scored two goals in the final six minutes to secure a draw.

Playing to a draw for the sixteenth time in the league, the mid-table team maintained their seventh position. Meanwhile, Hannover, who have collected just six points in their last eight matches, dropped to twelfth place, however, they are safe from the relegation zone by a comfortable nine-point margin.

Relegation from the Bundesliga is much more looming for the Kaiserslautern team, who suffered their fifth defeat in the last six matches, this time losing 2-3 to Nurnberg. In this match, the most goal-scoring players were from the Kaiserslautern side - H.Altintop scored both goals, while R.Vittek scored twice for the winners.
