The French Football Federation (FFF) has accepted the appeals of the teams and agreed not to deduct points from the teams in the controversial clash in the second round of "Ligue 1". The match that took place in February became scandalous after the "Marseille" management argued that "P.S.G" refused to ensure the safety of its fans at their stadium and asked them not to attend the match. Furthermore, "Marseille" brought their youth team to this match, which managed to play to a draw with the strongest team in the capital. After these matches, the leadership of the French Football League accused both teams of tarnishing the name of football and punished them by deducting a point each earned in that match. However, after both clubs appealed this decision to the FFF, they decided to revoke the punishment. Nevertheless, the teams were not completely unpunished - the presidents of both clubs, Pierre Blayau and Pape Diouf, were disqualified for three months. It is worth mentioning that the longstanding rivals "Marseille" and "P.S.G" will face each other again this year, not just anywhere, but in the final of the French Cup (Coupe de France).
