The forward David Bellion, who is currently playing for a French club under a loan agreement but is a member of another club, will permanently move to Nice after the end of this season.
The 23-year-old Frenchman arrived at Nice in January of this year after failing to establish himself in the team led by Sir Alex Ferguson. In the first half of this season, the player also spent time on loan at West Ham in London.
Bellion arrived in Manchester in 2003 when he was bought for £2 million from Sunderland, but in his debut season, he only managed to score three goals in 22 matches, often starting games on the bench.
Last season, the forward scored five goals in 18 games, but this did not impress the Manchester United management, who decided to loan the player out.
"Everyone at the club thanks David for the years he spent with us and wishes him all the best in his future career," the official Manchester United website announced.
Currently, Nice ranks 11th in the French Ligue 1, and over the weekend, they lost 2-1 to Nancy in the French League Cup final.
