The club fighting for survival in the highest league of Spain changed its coach on Monday. Instead of Manuel Preciado, who resigned on Sunday, the young team of the club will be temporarily led by Nando Yosu, who has been training the club's youth team until now.

M. Preciado resigned after the team suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Madrid's "Getafe" on Sunday.

"I am convinced that we will manage to stay in the highest league," N. Yosu was quoted by the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca" on Monday.

N. Yosu was one of the members of M. Preciado's coaching staff.

"This is the most difficult situation I have ever been in because there is very little time left," added the Spaniard.

The president of "Racing," Manuel Huerta, stated that N. Yosu and his assistant Jesus Merino are an "ideal duo."

After the defeat on Sunday, "Racing" dropped to sixteenth place in the league table - the last one that guarantees survival in "La Liga." They have one point more than the team in seventeenth place. There are four rounds left until the end of the championship.
