London coach Arsene Wenger has denied rumors that David Beckham could come to a London club to play next season.
Wenger said he is interested in the English national team captain, but he will not try to acquire him because he would not be able to compete for this player with clubs that are financially superior.
"Is he of interest to me? Yes. Can we buy him? No," Wenger said.
The French manager has already started preparing the Arsenal team for the next season. He has already acquired two new players: Robin van Persie and Jose Reyes. Additionally, Wenger mentioned that he will not renew contracts with Martin Keown and would like to find a buyer for Francis Jeffers, who is currently on loan at Everton.
