In the only Wednesday's English Premier League match, victory celebrated Liverpool by beating West Ham footballers 2-1 in London.

The guests took the lead in the 19th minute with a goal from French forward Djibril Cisse from outside the penalty area. West Ham managed to equalize only at the beginning of the second half, when Nigel Reo-Coker scored with a close-range shot.

However, D. Cisse, who played actively, restored the lead with a goal in the 54th minute, after outsmarting the hosts' goalkeeper Jimmy Walker following a pass from Robbie Fowler.

With eight minutes left until the end of the match, Spanish player Luis Garcia clashed with Hayden Mullins on the pitch and the referee showed both players a red card.

It is worth mentioning that these matches can be considered a rehearsal for the upcoming FA Cup final next month.
