Haifa's football players have become the champions of the Israeli football championship for the third time in a row. The closest pursuers from Tel Aviv failed to beat the "Ashdod" team of mid-table teams, while Haifa's team defeated Hapoel "Nazareth" 4-0 and secured the title of country champions for the first time.

This was already the 21st victory for the team in the championship. In total, the team has already won 68 points and scored 59 goals - a record for the team and the Israeli championship, which could have been even greater if one of the best team forwards Yaniv Katan had not left for 100 thousand pounds sterling in the middle of the season.

However, the Haifa team will not be able to win all possible trophies this season - the team recently withdrew from the country's cup competition, where they lost in the semi-finals to Tel Aviv's "Bnei Yehuda" team.
