Portugal's national team strategist, Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari, stated on Friday that he does not intend to apply for the position of coach of the England national team.
Speaking with television journalists from Portugal's national team camp in Germany, L.F. Scolari said he will only plan for the future after July 31, when his current contract with the Portuguese Football Federation ends.
"There are currently 20 journalists outside my house," said the Brazilian. "Perhaps in your culture, this is normal, but it's definitely not in mine."
The English Football Federation has been looking for a coach since January to replace the Swede Sven-Goran Eriksson, who will step down after the World Cup.
