After the end of the season, the club will acquire the services of Jimmy Bullard. The 27-year-old player will sign a 4-year contract with the club, and the transfer will take place on May 8, right after the end of the season.
On Friday, Jimmy Bullard traveled to London for a medical examination and to finalize the contract terms.
Wigan will receive £2.5 million for this transfer. This was the buyout clause in J. Bullard's contract, so the club had to accept Fulham's offer.
Wigan's head coach was disappointed to hear about Bullard's departure, but does not think it will weaken his team.
"We just need to reorganize the team now," the coach said.
