In the Coupe De France competition, for the seventh time in the club's history, the team triumphed by defeating their eternal rival in the final match on Saturday.

The capital team surged ahead in the 4th minute as the ball was powerfully struck from about 10 meters into the goal from the crossbar. Immediately after halftime, the Parisians doubled their lead - Vikash Dhorasoo sprinted from their own half and skillfully shot from distance, beating the opponents' goalkeeper F.Barthez.
Later, the Paris team's superiority could have increased even more, but shots from Jerome Rotheno and Kalou hit the crossbar and missed. In the 66th minute, after a great combination, they managed to soften the scoreline and revive Marseille's hopes, however, "P.S.G" defended well and clinched the Coupe De France.
In addition to the trophy, the "PSG" team, currently in only 8th place in the French league, also earned the right to compete in the UEFA Cup next year. Meanwhile, the club from Marseille, currently in 6th place, may now miss out on a spot in the UEFA Cup.
