Oliver Bierhoff, who works as an assistant coach for the German national team, has extended his contract with the German Football Federation (DFB) and will remain in this position until 2010. Bierhoff signed the new agreement yesterday, before the German cup matches, where the Munich team triumphed. "I am happy that we will continue working together, that we were finally able to formalize all of our negotiations. Oliver Bierhoff will be a factor in the success and efficiency of our national team in the future," said the country's football federation president Dr. Theo Zwanziger. O. Bierhoff will also be responsible for the selection of the German under-21 national team.
