60' [1 - 0] Aaron Lennon

Both teams started the match quite actively, and the first opportunity to score was created by the visitors - a strong shot by Hidetoshi Nakata hit the goalpost. Bolton continued to attack, but neither Ivan Campo nor Garry Speed were able to send the ball into the net.

In the second half, the roles reversed - Tottenham took the initiative and the game was played more in Bolton's half of the field. The only difference was that the hosts, after a few inaccurate shots initially, took advantage of their chance in the 60th minute - after a long and accurate pass from Danny Murphy, A. Lennon played a wall pass with Michael Carrick and finally shot accurately into the far corner of the goal.

All the visitors' efforts to equalize were in vain - the hosts defended quite successfully, and at the end of the match, the referee decided not to award a penalty kick to the hosts in a controversial situation.

By securing a victory, the Tottenham players increased their advantage over Arsenal to 7 points, with only one match left to play this season. However, Arsenal still has three matches to play.
