One of the leaders in Edinburgh, Czech Rudi Skacel, should represent the Scottish team for another two years, as an agreement has been reached due to his transfer with the player loaned by the club "Marseille". This was confirmed by the official representatives of the Hearts club.
Skacel arrived at the Edinburgh club last summer when he was loaned out from the French club "Marseille" for the season. The midfielder immediately became a key player for the team, scoring 16 goals and helping the team to take the 2nd place in the Scottish Premier League.
After such a successful performance, the 26-year-old Czech attracted the interest of several strong European clubs, but decided to stay in Scotland. According to the Hearts club, the player will sign a two-year contract with the team. The transfer fee is not disclosed, but it is believed that Hearts will pay around £780,000 for the footballer.
Earlier, Skacel's agent categorically denied that his client had signed a contract with Hearts, but now the representatives of the Edinburgh club officially announced that the player will remain with their team.
"Both teams have reached an agreement," said a Hearts representative to the press. "The transfer fee was agreed upon before we signed the loan agreement, so our team did not have major problems in negotiations with Marseille, and Skacel will remain in the club for another two years."
