On Wednesday in Rome, the first Italian Cup final match was played, where for the second year in a row the local club "Roma" and the defending champions Milan "Inter" team met. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
1 - 1
8' [0 - 1] Julio Ricardo Cruz
55' [1 - 1] Amantino Mancini
At the Rome Olympic Stadium, the hosts dominated most of the match, but "Inter" managed to score a goal and snatch a draw, which could give the advantage to the Milan club in the return match, as winning with a draw would be enough to win the cup.
"Inter" took the lead in the eighth minute, when after a pass from Adriano, Julio Cruz found himself in front of the goalkeeper and scored a goal. The capital team's defenders tried to convince the referee that the Argentine was offside during the pass, but the goal was counted.
In the 55th minute, "Roma" scored the equalizer. Rodrigo Taddei sent the ball into the penalty area, where Daniele De Rossi passed the ball perfectly with his heel to his teammate Amantino Mancini, and the Brazilian equalized with a precise shot.
The return match between these teams will take place on Thursday, May 11 at the "San Siro" stadium in Milan.
