Andriy Shevchenko, the leader of the Ukrainian national team's attacks, suffered a left thigh injury during the "Serie A" weekend matches.

The striker suffered the injury in the penultimate round of the Italian championship with "Parma", which "Milan" won 3-2 and was forced to leave the field in the 8th minute of the match.

As the doctors of the "Milan" club say, the Ukrainian strained the muscles of his left thigh and will not be able to play for about a month. This should be enough time for the player to recover and be able to play in the first World Cup matches.

"The player will not need surgery, but he will not be able to play for at least 25 days," says the official press release from the "Milan" club.

If Shevchenko is unable to recover in time for the World Cup, it would be a huge loss for both the Ukrainian national team and the "Milan" club. Currently, with just one round left until the end of the championship, the striker ranks 4th in the list of top scorers in "Serie A" with 19 goals.

Due to this injury, Shevchenko will also have to miss the crucial last "Serie A" match against "Roma", where the Milan club could still win the championship title from "Juventus" in case of victory.
