After more than 5 years of work, Franco Carraro is resigning from his position as President of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).

In his resignation letter, F. Carraro states that he stepped down from the leadership position so that the federation could resolve all serious issues that have arisen in Italian football more calmly and quickly.

According to F. Carraro, he resigned so that the federation could address all these issues having complete freedom, and thus make the right decisions for the good of football.

66-year-old F. Carraro has been a member of the UEFA Executive Committee since 2004.
