French Djibril Cisse has at least temporarily silenced the rumors about leaving Liverpool - the 24-year-old striker stated that he intends to continue representing the club.
For some time, reports have been circulating in the media that the footballer is not satisfied with the current situation and may leave for another team. It was also stated that D.Cisse tried to acquire [clubs mentioned] but "Liverpool" rejected these offers without further negotiations.
"My future is already decided," said D.Cisse, "I have a three-year valid contract and I see myself playing here all that time. "Liverpool" did not want to let me go to Marseille and people finally have to understand that. "Tottenham" also showed interest, but this offer was not accepted. I do not want to leave after a year, as it would be a real failure."
Talking about the previous season, D.Cisse stated: "I am satisfied, because I scored 18 goals even having to play often on the right flank. I played in several different positions, so I became more versatile - improved defense, started better crossing the ball."
