Sweden's national team coach Lars Lagerback has announced the preliminary list of 23 players who are preparing to represent the team at the World Cup. The team includes three Swedes playing for the French club "Rennes.
According to press agencies, defender Alexander Ostlund, who plays for "Southampton," did not make it into the Swedish national team lineup. This player faced harsh criticism after Sweden lost 0-3 to Ireland in March.
According to the coach, Leverkusen's "Bayer" club defender Fredrik Stenman will represent the team for the first time, as his consistent performance in the German club impressed Lagerback.
It is worth noting that Sweden has been placed in Group B at the World Cup in Germany, where they will face England, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago.
