For the fifth time in a row, club president Jean-Michel Aulas, who has become the champion of France this year, mentioned that he would like to see striker Didier Drogba, who is currently representing another team, in his team.
"Lyon" has been looking for a high-class striker for some time now and has been linked to players such as Ruud van Nistelrooy, but Aulas admitted that it is almost impossible for his team to acquire such famous players.
"In my opinion, Didier is one of the best footballers in Europe, but I am 100% sure that "Chelsea" will not agree to sell him," Aulas said. "It is just my dream."
Lately, there have been rumors that "Manchester United" could trade their attacking leader Van Nistelrooy to the French champions in exchange for "Lyon" defender Mahamadou Diarra, who has long been of interest to major European clubs. However, Aulas denied these rumors and once again confirmed that Diarra will not be going anywhere this summer.
"I am confident that "Man Utd" will not sell Van Nistelrooy and I can confirm once again that Mahamadou Diarra will not be going anywhere this year. Furthermore, we have not received any offers for this player so far," said the resolute "Lyon" president.
