The Portuguese press reported that Lisbon's forward Laurent Robert is ready to move to a Scottish team.
Earlier, L. Robert played for "Montpellier," "Paris Saint Germain," and "Newcastle" clubs. This summer, the Frenchman arrived in the Portuguese capital and signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with "Benfica."
However, L. Robert has been heavily criticized by the Portuguese press: some believe that he made a mistake signing a contract with the "Benfica" club.
According to the press, L. Robert's salary is currently the highest in the Portuguese league - 190 thousand euros per month - but in over twenty matches, he only scored three goals.
The Glasgow "Rangers" club, led by Frenchman Paul Le Guen since July, finished third in the Scottish "Premier" league and lost the chance to participate in the UEFA Champions League next year.
