"We withdrew from the Champions League in a terrible way. But I think that Arsenal played even worse against Villarreal, although they reached the final. I don't want to talk about Serie A, it's a different matter," explained the reason for the fans' reactions the Inter coach.
The coach also mentioned that if it weren't for Juventus' manager Luciano Moggi's attempts to influence the referees, maybe Inter and other Italian teams would have achieved more in the last few Italian championships.
R.Mancini also stated that he is not bothered by rumors that Fabio Capello might replace him as head coach in the summer. According to the Inter strategist, he is currently focused only on his work, not on media reports.
Meanwhile, Inter team captain Javier Zanetti was delighted that he could finally lift the cup wearing his team's jersey.
"Last year I couldn't accept the cup because I was away playing for the Argentine national team and Ivan Cordoba did it for me, so this evening is very special to me. We really wanted to win this cup and I think our fans should also celebrate with us," J.Zanetti said.
