"Munich security guard Jens Jeremies has decided to end his professional football career. The German is currently 32 years old. This season was already the eighth wearing Bayern shirts for J. Jeremies, who played in just ten club matches, starting in only two of them. So the German, hoping to start a career as a sports agent, decided to "hang up his boots" earlier than planned. J. Jeremies moved to Bayern from another Munich team, TSV 1860, in 1998. Having played over 250 matches for his new club, the player won six Bundesliga titles, four German cups, won the Champions League in 2001, and subsequently the Intercontinental Cup. Meanwhile, the biggest achievement for the player playing for the German national team was the second place won in the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, with his team losing only to Brazil in the final."
