Spanish champion's president Joan Laporta denied any rumors about a possible transfer of the club's leader, Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o.
The Catalan club's manager emphasized that he is pleased with the current team roster and promised that in the summer, "Barca" will not sell anyone, only buy.
Some Italian press publications claimed that S. Eto'o could perfectly replace Andriy Shevchenko if he moved to England and joined "Chelsea," but J. Laporta immediately stated that stars come to "Barca" and do not leave it.
"Barcelona" is a guarantee of good play, and if a player doesn't feel good here, I think we will understand it ourselves," the words of the Spanish champion's president were quoted by the "Sky Sports" channel.
"Barcelona" players want to stay here because they want to win titles," said J. Laporta.
In the Italian media, it was also reported that S. Eto'o would like to leave "Barcelona" because in away matches of the Spanish championship, he constantly experiences racist insults from various club fans.
J. Laporta firmly refused to answer questions about the new summer signings of "Barcelona," and even more so about Thierry Henry.
"It is not beautiful for me to talk about players who currently belong to another club," said the manager of the Catalan club.
Asked about rumors that "Barcelona" secretly aims at Madrid's "Atletico" attacking leader Fernando Torres, J. Laporta explained that the club's key players are already at "Barcelona" and added that the club will definitely not make many big signings this summer.
"There will be a few final touches," he said.
The coach of the Spanish champions emphasized that the team's formation is the responsibility of the club's coaches, and the "Barca" board will make the necessary decisions only after listening to the strategists' wishes.
"Now we are focusing on the Champions League final," concluded the president of La Liga winners.
