On Monday, the composition of the 23 players of his team for the World Championship was announced by Swiss national team coach Koebi Kuhnas. There are no major surprises in the team composition. The only surprise is that this time the long-time team players, the brothers Hakan and Murat Yakin, were left out of the national team.
The core of the team consists of players representing major European clubs such as London's Arsenal, Lyon, Lazio, or Milan, as well as local Swiss championship stars.
The Swiss will start the World Championship in Group G, along with France, South Korea, and Togo. The Swiss national team will play their first match on June 13 against the group favorite, the French national team.
