The London club that finished in fifth place in the recently concluded English Premier League season seems to be nurturing serious plans for the upcoming season - the team announced that they have signed a £34 million advertising deal with the entertainment business company Mansion.
According to club representatives, the four-year deal is the most expensive in the team's history and one of the top ten most expensive advertising deals in the world.
Mansion, which operates an international casino network and is involved in sports business, had previously offered a £70 million deal to another English club, Manchester United, but after failing to reach a mutual agreement, the company decided to support the London club.
"Our team has made great progress in recent years and this season has proven that we can compete with the biggest European clubs on equal terms, so the club now needs financial support to continue improving," said team president Daniel Levy. "Mansion is a great company and we are proud to be able to collaborate with them."
"For some time now, we have been looking for a high-level English team with which we could enter into a long-term agreement, and Tottenham, with its deep football traditions, is exactly the team we needed," added Mansion CEO David Kinsmann.
