According to the British and French press, the London defender, Frenchman William Gallas, could be used as part of the transfer fee to acquire the Ukrainian striker Andrei Shevchenko.
Both Shevchenko and Gallas have been talking for some time about their desire to change teams, and Gallas, reportedly, has even made a personal agreement with the Milan club and should undergo a medical examination in the near future.
Shevchenko also does not hide that he would like to leave Italy, and the most realistic contender to acquire one of the best strikers in the world is the financially generous Chelsea club. Team strategist Jose Mourinho has previously hinted that he wants to see the Ukrainian in his team, and will try to acquire him.
For now, Milan claims that Shevchenko is not for sale, but the desire to acquire Gallas and strengthen the defensive line could force the Italian club to release their attacking leader. Reportedly, representatives of both clubs are scheduled to meet in Paris this Wednesday to discuss possible exchanges.
